The Professional Arena Soccer League today announced a make-up date for the December 20 game between the Texas Outlaws and St. Louis Illusion and a temporary venue relocation for their scheduled January 24 game.
The December 20 game will be played on February 8 at The Game Arena in St. Louis, but will still count in the standings as a Texas home game. It will be the back end of a "home-and-home" with the Illusion that could have big playoff implications. The two teams will play their regularly scheduled match in St. Louis on February 7.
Texas has ordered a new turf from SportTurf International, the official turf provider for the PASL. While they await their new turf, the January 24 game against the Stockton Cougars has been moved to Arena Athletics in Euless. The Outlaws next regularly scheduled home game, February 28, will be played at NYTEX Sports Centre.
"The Outlaws recently underwent a management change that coincided with the December 20 date," said PASL-Pro Commissioner Kevin Milliken. "Now we've rescheduled that game and the new management is making a major investment in the future of the Outlaws and an upgraded playing surface is part of that push."
