I seen again on wednesday night more evidence that fifa dont want an all english final this year again. Last year it was againt chelsea in the Semi-final stage and last wednesday it was againts Arsenal. The ref didnt giv 2 clear cut penalties to Arsenal and then let them take a quick free and didnt even let the keeper get back into his goals and on top of that the ref moved over and stood in front of campbell so he couldnt even try and block the free kick.

Yeah, the ref was awful. But I don't think you can use that to suggest that UEFA (it's them who run the Champions League, not FIFA) have got anything against English teams. The ref clearly doesn't know the proper rules. It's not a conspiracy though.

i dont truly believe there is a conspiracy, but what can you say when u see BS like in the arsenal game and likewise (especially) the chelsea barca game? uefa certainly dont care that incompetent referees are really costing some teams. and in fact they even punished chelsea, yet the ref was let off?
then again there was the fiorentina vs bayern game which also had a shocker from the bald ref ovrebo (the one who cheated chelsea)
i think its just that there are some crap referees that are somehow allowed into the champs league. unfortunately it seems the english teams are getting the worse end of the stick although it does effect other teams.

Yup, I agree. It's bad refereeing rather than anything else. Although I think part of it is the fact that more games are on the TV than ever before and so ref's decisons get analyised more than ever before so more mistakes get highlighted. They would have got away with being rubish in the past.
